Description
Sound recording of President John F. Kennedy’s remarks at the inaugural meeting of the Inter-American Economic and Social Council held at the Pan American Union. In his speech President Kennedy discusses the allocation of six million dollars for the Organization of American States (OAS), and characterizes the meeting as a benchmark in Pan American relations and the efforts of the Alliance for Progress.
