This folder contains correspondence, memoranda, and reports pertaining to strategic defense materials, specifically the General Services Administration's involvement with the production and storage of stockpiled supplies. Much of the information relates to the sale of Longhorn tin and the Cuban American Nickel Company. There is also a copy of a government publication titled, "Inquiry into the Strategic and Critical Material Stockpiles of the United States: Draft Report of the National Stockpile and Naval Petroleum Reserves Subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services."
