This file contains a copy of Senator John F. Kennedy’s speech given at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota during his 1960 presidential campaign. In his speech he discusses a need to re-establish the United States as a world leader in the global fight for freedom, and agricultural concerns, including the development of an adequate food surplus program to help those in need.
