This folder contains copies of the Congressional Record containing a speech given by Senator John F. Kennedy before the United States Senate titled, “The Economic Gap.” In his speech Senator Kennedy discusses the economic disparity between developed and underdeveloped countries and the need for a strong economy to ensure national security and fight against communism. The Senator also discusses the foreign economic policy of the United States, particularly concerning India, and urges revitalization of the Development Loan Fund.
